The management at Welda recently decided to divide up our sales and production activities into different business areas. The aim of this split is to provide a structured basis for the significant further development of the diversity programme we launched a few years ago. The move will also enable us to provide you with a greater range of services as a customer - services that go far beyond merely baking and packing waffles.
The outline below will give you a more detailed explanation of what is involved with this ambitious plan of ours.

The bedrock of our company. Waffles will, of course, remain the main thrust of our business - and we trust that you enjoy our fine range. Having said that, we still intend to make modifications to the range where necessary, based on market requirements. We will also remain highly creative in developing exclusive packaging and/or recipes for you, where required, so that you can continue to strengthen your own competitive position.

Our main ambitions are focused on this business area in particular. Over the years, we have learnt that the retail sector is constantly looking for exclusivity and spirit in the items it offers consumers. By taking this approach, we are able to distinguish ourselves clearly from our rivals. At the same time, these exclusive items invariably go hand in hand with higher profit margins for you as a retailer, compared with other, more run-of the-mill products.
Our aim in dividing ourselves up like this is to work proactively and/or in conjunction with you in putting together items in special packs that provide you with the products you are looking for. For example, we are already in a position to offer you a Christmas theme pack for our wafers. However, if you would like to create a special pack featuring a variety of different items, we will be happy to start looking for the manufacturers/packs you need and then put this item together for you - either ourselves or have it done externally in a carefully controlled way.
Of course, we by no means wish to restrict ourselves to these 2 sample scenarios. No: the idea we want to get across to you is that Welda is ready and willing to work with you in terms of creativity and packaging; in a word: creapack.

You are well aware, of course, that we have been producing organic and sugar-free wafers for a number of years. However, the importance of a healthy diet is a challenge facing consumers more and more these days, and this means that both food retailers and manufacturers need to capitalise on this trend and keep one step ahead.
We intend to apply the specific experience that we have gained with our suppliers of raw materials so that in the first instance we can expand our range of ‘healthy’ foods further as part of our existing business. But we also see our task as being much more far-reaching. We are quite happy, for example, to put our experience to good use on projects with other manufacturers in order to develop new products. We will even consider entering into official agency agreements with foreign companies. Over time, this approach will enable us to provide our customers with a bigger, more interesting range.

This latter area we see mainly as a way of providing our customers with an additional service. Given the way we work currently with third parties, as well as the contacts and networks that we will build up in the future with the businesses we have already mentioned, it is obvious that we will also use these contacts on a commercial basis. It is certainly not our intention to be “an extra competitor” in the marketplace. Instead, we see the real added value we have to offer more in terms of logistics. A good section of our customer base discovered years ago that it is a whole lot easier and more cost-effective to have a single, central address for sourcing a comprehensive range of waffles - even knowing that we do not ourselves make every type of waffle we offer! So we would also like to pass on this type of thought and idea to other types of bakery products, cakes, confectionery and so on.
